1. Number change conditions
Phone number replacement is available on weekdays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. (Weekends and holidays cannot be changed) Unavailable or temporarily suspended lines cannot be dialed. In addition, it is said that number replacement is possible only 2 times within 3 months.
It says that it is impossible to cancel the number change, but if you actually change it, you can cancel the change until the day of the change.
If you press Change number at a time other than the replacement time, the following error message appears.
The materials to be prepared are a terminal (telephone) capable of receiving text messages with a SIM opened at KT M-Mobile, a KT M-Mobile account, and a PC capable of accessing the homepage.
Number change is not possible on the mobile app, only on the homepage.
2. Number change procedure
2-1. After logging in, enter the number change menu
To change your number, first log in
Go to My Page – Subscription Information – Number Change menu.
2-2. identity verification
Personal authentication is performed with the phone opened by KT M-Mobile.
2-3. Select desired number
When the identity verification is complete, select the desired number. Only the last 4 digits of the desired number can be entered (middle digits can be selected only in the example presented), and a total of 50 searches are possible.
The number of views will not decrease if none of the numbers match the number viewed.
When you select the number you want to change, the number appears in the Selected Number Confirmation and when you click Change, the number is changed immediately.
3. Procedure after change
After changing the phone number, it doesn’t matter much in a daily environment, but when extracting a number from a SIM, such as a bank or stock app, a SIM download (entering the SIM number) procedure is required.
In the default phone app, press as shown below. (For low-priced phones, input according to the carrier used. For example, use KT SIM Download for low-priced phones on KT network.)
